I enjoyed it, especially the return of all the characters from These Old Shades, but it seemed a bit as if Heyer wanted to spend more time with them than with her younger protagonists. A few more scenes of growing sentiment between Mary and Vidal would have sufficed for me (but I liked it nonetheless!)
